Won't Quit Attitude - part 1

I have spent quite a bit of time trying to get back on track. I glad to say that my attitude has remained positive during this time. I used to spend a lot of time beating myself up over my failures. Now however God has shown me how to change without regretting lost time. I spoke at Living Hope Church about a month ago. The title of my message was Building a Won't Quit Attitude. The foundation for this message was 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us. As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. Starting off though there are some important things to know.

  1. Things happen that you won't like or understand.
  2. You Cannot Change People.

  3. You Cannot Control the Weather. When we recognize that there are things we cannot change than we allow God's power to move. We are not strong enough to force someone into right decisions or powerful enough to take away the rain. However what we do have control over makes us much more powerful. How you respond to life effects everything and everyone around you. Imagine a circle around you. Every time that you respond negatively it is much easier for everyone around you to be negative. If we flip it then as you respond positively to life you make it much easier for others to be positive.
