When preparing for the war make sure that you have the right tool.
Don't bring a knife to a gun fight
Know the strategy. Know the specifications.

Make a committment to the Lord. How much do you want to grow in your relationship with the Lord? "Discipline yourself in the practical things of life. It will help you to be disicplined in the spiritual things of life."

Know Where True Wisdom is Found
"...so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." - 1 Corin 2:5 ESV
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who give generaously to all without reporach, and it will be given him." - James 1:5 ESV
"You are not your own. You were bought with a price."
You go through the struggle because you are part of the struggle. This is proof that you below to him.
- Let the demonstration of the Lord's Power shine forth.
- Be angry but sin not.
- We ask for God's wisdom to allow us to apply what we learn.
- Yield ourselves to the Lord
- Discipline yourself - "Sacrifice SOMETHING"
"Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brother, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-15
- Be deliberate, intentional
- Break the patterns that you have set in your life
- Press on after God. "Be an endurance runner"
"Do you know that in a arace all the runners run, but only one recieves the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things... But I disicipline my body and keep it under control lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified." - 1 Corin 9:24-25,27
