Update: The sermon went very well on Sunday. God moved during our worship in a mighty way. I'm removing what I posted over the weekend and sharing some excerpts.

In a world full of complex problems and complex people

  • The Economy

Everyday the world tries to bog us down in seemingly complex issues.
People cry out for a simple way to navigate this world.

Overwhelmed by the myriad of seemingly contradictory choices we try to find balance. We become the Jack-of-all Trades in order to make sense of it all. We read book after book, watch show after show and listen to Radio in search of answers. Or to just drown It all out.

Getting lost in all of these choices is so easy

Ask people what they want and get vague answers or blank stares. There is no more black and white. No more right or wrong. No more Yes or No.

Shades of gray cloud every issue and situation. Maybe, perhaps and possibly are the answers we get now.
The world needs someone, a Hero, with simple solutions

Someone willing to put their stake in the ground and defend it. Someone who is willing to share. Someone who has found the answer. We need a Hero.
Are You that Hero?God says you are!“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” – 2Corin 4:7God guaranteed that you would fulfill his plan> "Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God's Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete.”

2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (The Message)
