Sunday Sermonette - He Cannot Be Beaten
Pilate said to them, “You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.” - Matthew 27:65
For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father. - John 10:17-18
We might feel that we are being marginalized but God...
We might feel that we need to be in the light to prove ourselves but God...
God however does mighty works in the dark
When people think he has gone silent, has been defeated, he is still God
He cannot be held down because he was never knocked down. He laid his life down.
We serve a God who can never be defeated. No matter how much we, as humanity, might try. Our efforts will always be in vain.
He has already won
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. - Revelation 4:1-2
