Putting this here for my daughters who are always making dozens of cookies. These recipes will make less than a dozen and will help me not eat so many cookies. ;)

Any Chip Cookies

Makes 8 cookies

1/2 cup + 1 tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup softened butter
1/4 cup light brown sugar
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup chocolate chips or mini M&Ms or peanut butter chips

Sugar Cookies

Makes 6 cookies

1/4 cup melted butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg yolk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt

Peanut Butter Cookies

Makes 10 cookies

1/8 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Cream butter and sugar
Sift dry items together and add to cream mixture
Add wet items
Fold in chips (Chocolate chips only)
Put dough in the freezer for 10 - 20 minutes
Scoop onto cookie sheet and bake around 10 mins

Proud Dad Moment | Year of Doing

Today's post is not about something that I am doing but about my middle child. She started asking to play drums when she was around 4 years old. We held off becuase we wanted her to start with the piano however she never got into it. Piano was just never interesting to her.

The drums however were calling her. We signed her up for lessons a few years ago, finally. She took to the lessons immediately and didn't want to miss any.Every week after her lessons she would look at this drum kit in the store. We were concerned about buying something that would not get used but ultimately she (thanks Grandma) got it.

She continued with her lessons, and her practice at home.

Shout out to her drum coach Chris Johnson. He has been awesome.

I couldn't be prouder of the work she has been doing. Continue to work on your craft. It might seem slow but it is worth it.
